Beach Days - an Intertidal ThingOur multi activity beach days involve caving, coasteering, climbing, rock hopping and body boarding. Our Beach Multi-Activity instructors are members of the British Activity Holiday Association, the Institute of Outdoor Learning, the National Navigation Award Scheme, hold Welcome Host Gold Award, have the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) license, are working towards the Green Dragon Environment Award and are members of many tourism associations. CoasteeringIt's easy to get hooked on coasteering, the adrenaline-fuelled adventure sport that was invented in Pembrokeshire in the 1980's and 90's and has since spread worldwide. You climb sea cliffs, traverse rocks, explore sea caves and, best of all, jump into the water. You get kitted out with a wet suit, buoyancy aid and crash helmet and away you go for a bit of "extreme rock-pooling" Climbing and MountaineeringMultipitch climbing and rock climbing.

Discover the Thrill of Flying Small PlanesDiscover the thrill of flying with lessons at Fairwood Common and enjoy s stunning visual experience as well as the excitement of learning to handle a plane for the first time. We have two brand new Koliber four seater aircrafts (max. 3 passengers, 30 stone) and two Cessna 152 2 seater aircrafts, the perfect small light aeroplane for beginners, where all the controls are within easy reach. Students can book a trial lesson which begins with a briefing from your flying instructor in the operation of the aircraft and you will learn all about the controls and instruments. Then you can choose the area in which you wish to fly. You'll learn to fly level, climb and maybe assist with take-off and landing. A trial lesson makes the ideal present and gift vouchers are available. The trial lesson is really the first part of the Private Pilots licence and you may wish to purchase a logbook to record your first flight, since it will count towards your licence, if you choose to continue. But we warned, it can be addictive, so be prepared to come back again and again. Bring a camera. You will have the chance to take some amazing aerial pictures. We look forward to flying with you. Kite SurfingTake one surfboard and one Kite, hook the two up with the arms and legs of a kite surfer, and you have an instant high - the wildest new water sport to hit these shores. Imagine flying a powerful kite while strapped to a surfboard, rushing along the water, hanging in the sky and performing big-air tricks, and you'll understand why kite surfing is so addictive. It's not difficult to pick up the basics, but you will need to get some tuition first. Kite surfing is the fastest-growing water sport and Gower has several beaches which are ideal for learners and the more experienced.
