Bryngolau

The Location

Bryngolau is situated on the southern side of the Gower with far views out over Oxwich Bay. The local holiday village of Penmaen is about 1½ miles drive whilst Mumbles is about 9 miles. Swansea (11 miles) has all the expected shops and services of an important university city.

The Gower is extremely well known as a glorious holiday destination. There are stunning sandy beaches at Rhossili Bay, Port-Eynon Bay and Oxwich Bay; golf courses include Penmaen, Mumbles and Waurnarlwydd; there are glorious walks through the surrounding countryside.

Bryngolau is a charming period property dating back to approximately 1870 and sitauted in a small hamlet. Build largely of rendered brick beneath a tiled roof, the house sits proudly in gorgeous gardens with stunning views out to the south. The rear is protected by Cefn Bryn hill. Internally the house has well proportioned reception rooms and 4 spacious bedrooms and is finished to a high standards.

Gardens and Grounds

The gardens lie principally to the south front of the house, and comprise of large lawns feanked with a variety of mature shrubs and trees. To the east lies a vegetable garden with an old greenhouse, a fish pond and further round is the double garage. A large area of decking leads out from the conservatory wchich forms an ideal suntrap.

Directions

From Swansea take the A4118 west passing through Upper Killay, Parkmill and Nicholaston. About 1 mile after Nicholaston there will be a turning on the left signed to oxwich and one of the driveways to Penrice Castle. Continue on for another 200 yards and turn right up the access lane marker ‘no through road’. Continue up the lane and the property is about 400 yards on the right hand side.
